2026 Audi Q3 revealed – 3rd gen gets micro-LED headlights, new stalks, PHEV with 119 km EV range

Having achieved sales exceeding two million units over a period spanning more than ten years, the Audi Q3 has emerged as one of Ingolstadt’s most dependable top-selling models. Consequently, the pressure is high for the new third iteration, recently unveiled with a fresh design and an array of cutting-edge technologies borrowed from other vehicles in the range. The vehicle is now built on an updated version of the previous model’s MQB architecture (MQB Evo), incorporating Audi’s latest design language inspired by the Q5. Notable features include a revamped Singleframe grille, customizable daytime running light strips, and faux side air intakes housing the main headlights.

The exterior also showcases typical “quattro” bulging fenders, a distinctive window line forming kinked D-pillars, and a sleek roofline creating a modern “floating roof” appearance. Similar to the new A6, the Q3 boasts dual-tier taillights leading to vertical indicators and a large rear bumper “vent” above a diffuser on the S line variant. The vehicle offers optional matrix LED headlights with micro LED technology, providing enhanced adaptive high beam functionality and displaying various information on road conditions.

Inside, the Q3 reflects design elements from larger Audi models, featuring a curved digital stage display panel housing digital instruments and an MMI infotainment touchscreen. The latest MMI interface is based on Android Automotive OS and offers access to apps like YouTube through the MMI connect store. Moreover, Audi introduces innovative column stalks for gear selection and control functions, freeing up space in the center console.

The Q3 offers various powertrain options including mild hybrid setups and a plug-in hybrid variant with improved battery capacity and electric range. Suspension choices range from standard to sports setups with optional adaptive dampers for enhanced driving dynamics. The vehicle also comes equipped with advanced driver assistance systems such as autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assist, and semi-autonomous driving capabilities.

Overall, the new Audi Q3 combines sophisticated design elements with advanced technologies to deliver a compelling driving experience in its class.
