At Saudi construction platform BRKZ, AI agents are already handling real business operations — processing cement deliveries, pricing materials and moving transactions forward with humans stepping in mainly for exceptions.

WHAT’S HAPPENING

BRKZ has raised $31 million in new capital to expand its AI-powered construction procurement platform.

Its delivery agent, Nusa, reads cement delivery-note photos sent through WhatsApp, matches them to orders, verifies quantities and closes completed deliveries.

BRKZ says roughly 75% of those delivery notes are now processed without manual intervention. TNW

The company also operates an AI pricing engine trained on about 40,000 requests for quotation.

BRKZ says 84% to 89% of its price predictions fall within 5% of the final transaction price. Those figures are company-reported. Wamda

WHY IT MATTERS

The AI is not physically moving cement.

It is handling the operational work around it.

Pricing. Documents. Verification. Delivery completion.

That shows how AI agents can move beyond office software and directly coordinate parts of the physical economy.

WHO BENEFITS

Construction companies can reduce repetitive administrative work and process transactions faster.

Workers can focus more on exceptions, relationships and decisions that still require human judgment.

WHO LOSES

Manual processes built around checking documents, entering data and repeatedly coordinating routine transactions face increasing pressure.

Businesses that have not digitized their operations may also struggle to deploy agents because AI needs structured data and observable workflows before it can automate them.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

BRKZ plans to expand AI across quotation, pricing and fulfillment as it grows across Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region. Wamda

The bigger shift is simple:

AI agents do not need robots to enter the physical economy.

They can start by running the workflow around it.
