WHAT’S HAPPENING
Artificial intelligence and robotics are becoming a larger part of modern dentistry.
At China Dental Show 2026 in Shanghai, companies including Yakebot, Yangshan Medical and IMPNAV are preparing to demonstrate robotic dental implant systems, precision oral-surgery navigation technology and other intelligent clinical tools.
The event will also feature a “Future Dental Clinic” concept using augmented-reality glasses connected with dental microscopes, intraoral scanners and navigation systems.
The idea is to give dentists access to multiple sources of clinical information while performing procedures without constantly turning toward separate screens or equipment.
WHY IT MATTERS
Dentistry is becoming another example of AI moving beyond software and into physical healthcare.
AI-assisted navigation can help dentists interpret imaging, plan procedures and guide instruments more precisely during treatments such as dental implants.
