Beta Film & Industry Execs Join Forces To Launch AI Start-Up Chapter41

An exclusive collaboration between Beta Film and three industry professionals has led to the establishment of Chapter41, an artificial intelligence startup based in Berlin. The company, spearheaded by Hannes Jakobsen, Dominik Böhm, and Lars Stark, will focus on leveraging AI in content creation and production, consulting services, and workflow optimization.

Beta Film, renowned for its contributions to film and TV production as well as global sales, emphasized the significance of AI in the entertainment sector with the launch of Chapter41. The company highlighted that artificial intelligence is a critical strategic concern for the film industry’s future success from both financial and creative standpoints.

Jakobsen will take on the role of Managing Director at Chapter41, bringing his experience as a producer and founder of DRIVE beta, a digital studio in Berlin. Stark, an expert in generative AI, will serve as the Chief Creative Officer, while Böhm will assume the position of Chief Technology Officer due to his expertise in AI, camera work, post-production, and software development.

Chapter41’s primary focus will be on developing generative AI tools and products, addressing a controversial subject within the industry. Additionally, the startup plans to provide consultancy services and training for creatives and companies seeking to enhance their skills in AI applications. Furthermore, Chapter41 will specialize in producing AI-generated video content.

The company intends to collaborate with Beta Film and Drive on various projects while also extending its services to the broader industry. Moritz von Kruedener, Managing Director at Beta Film, explained that the partnership with Hannes, Dominik, and Lars aims to revolutionize production processes within the Beta Group by efficiently integrating AI tools into specific productions.

Jakobsen expressed that Chapter41 aims to be a key player in the creative AI landscape by working with partners to enhance generative AI’s usability and value in video production. The goal is to push creative boundaries and deliver tangible benefits for collaborators.
