
FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) has revealed the enhancement of its Health and Human Services division in Australia by welcoming three senior professionals onboard. Kerrie Young has been appointed as a Senior Managing Director to head the Data Analytics & AI team within the practice, while James Baulch and Cameron Cuthbert have joined as Managing Directors.
This expansion is timely considering the current challenges faced by Australia’s healthcare system, including increasing demand, limited workforce, and ongoing financial constraints. The team’s objective is to assist clients in overcoming these hurdles by implementing digital health solutions, data-driven care practices, and applied AI techniques across various aspects of healthcare operations.
The unique strengths brought in by Kerrie, James, and Cameron complement each other well and enhance the firm’s capability to aid healthcare, human services, and other organizations navigating complex transformations in Australia. Leveraging their extensive experience in system modeling, machine learning, and digital transformation enables them to guide clients from insight to action by integrating analytics and AI effectively to enhance outcomes, efficiency, and resilience where it matters most.
Ms. Young, based in Sydney, boasts over two decades of experience leading initiatives in data analytics and artificial intelligence. She has a track record of building high-performing teams in these areas and advising both public and private entities on leveraging advanced analytics tools for better outcomes and operational efficiency.
In her new role at FTI Consulting, Ms. Young will collaborate with clients on various initiatives such as applied analytics, digital health projects, AI-enabled procurement processes, clinical decision support systems, scenario modeling exercises, and data integration strategies across different sectors including healthcare.
Before joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Young held a managing director position at an independent business advisory firm where she led their Data & AI practice.
Dr. Baulch is also based in Sydney and brings over 15 years of experience in developing analytics solutions and crafting data strategies across diverse industries like healthcare and mining. His expertise lies in areas such as data strategy formulation, systems modeling, AI applications, and workforce analytics.
At FTI Consulting, Dr. Baulch will play a key role in assisting clients in implementing analytics solutions that drive operational efficiency improvements, financial sustainability enhancements, and overall performance optimization.
Dr. Cuthbert rounds out the trio with more than 15 years of experience in data analytics and AI across various sectors including healthcare, transport, and private enterprises. His specialization encompasses designing complex analytical solutions involving cloud platforms, advanced decision support tools, simulation techniques, digital twins development, and optimization strategies.
Before joining FTI Consulting, Dr. Cuthbert held director positions at both a Big Four organization as well as an independent business advisory firm.
